Cascahuin Tahona Blanco
Handcrafted in the heart of Jalisco's Tequila Valley, the Cascahuin Tequila Blanco Tahona is a true testament to traditional tequila-making methods. Using 100% Tequilana Weber agave sourced from the region, this additive-free tequila undergoes a meticulous production process to preserve its authenticity and flavors.
Starting with cooking in Stone/Brick Ovens, the agave's natural sugars are slowly released, resulting in a rich, cooked agave aroma. The agave is then crushed using the ancient Tahona method, a large stone wheel, ensuring a thorough extraction of the sweet agave juices. Utilizing deep well water for its unique mineral profile and open-air fermentation in cement tanks, the flavors become more pronounced and authentic. Notably, the fermentation with fibers further intensifies the flavors. The tequila is then distilled twice in a stainless pot with a copper coil, refining its taste and clarity.
On the nose, it greets with dominant aromas of cooked agave, complemented by hints of black pepper and fresh citrus. On the palate, the cooked agave takes center stage, harmoniously blending with the spicy black pepper and citrus notes. As it lingers, vegetal and grassy undertones emerge, culminating in a refreshing mint finish. This tequila is not only a drink but a journey through Jalisco's rich tequila heritage.
